Tasks
Support PLM owner and manage project scope, deadlines, budgets and tolerances previously agreed upon
Manage projects throughout its lifecycle and ensure relevant business and technical elements are fully represented
Work with project team to maintain and develop the project schedule while managing dependencies on the wider organization
Ensure adherence to common processes within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process
Lead an effective stakeholder management process incl. governance and communications
Provide performance monitoring, information and reporting; help diagnose root cause of problems
Anticipate deviations from the project plan and carry out immediate corrective measures
Track project metrics and carry out a formal review process at the end of each phase
Assign, monitor and support the internal and external project resources
Manage the commitment, effectiveness and morale of the project team
Profile
Minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience in a large organization, automotive or OEM experience preferred, plus at least 8 years of relevant business experience
Proven experience in leading projects to identify requirements, provide solutions and validate design and configuration
Experience in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Six Sigma)
Persuasive leader with the ability of seeing the whole picture and delivering in a partnering style
Proven knowledge and experience of engineering processes, strategic planning capability
Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering preferred; Master’s Degree in Business a plus
Demonstrated knowledge of automotive design and launch process
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills
Ability to work under pressure, on multiple assignments, with strong attention to detail
Ability to bring teams with differing opinions to a common place by identifying common ground and negotiation
